The non-profit organization Maison de Loire en Anjou / Loire Odyssee

WHO ?
All the activities shown on this website are managed by the Maison de Loire en Anjou - Loire odyssee, a non-profit organization that has a hundred or so members, a dozen active volunteers and a team of 7 employees (10 during the high season), all passionates about the Loire and its heritage.
WHERE ?
Beside the river, at Saint-Mathurin-sur-Loire/Loire-Authion, , an attractive tuffeau village in the Maine & Loire (49). The organization is housed within the Loire Odyssee's cultural site, a visitor and activities center that it manages with support from the commune of Loire-Authion.
WHAT ?
We seek to raise awareness of the value of rivers (starting with the Loire of course), their histories and to enthuse you in the process
HOW ?
By proposing activities, cruises, events, workshops, conferences, exhibitions and shows concerning the Loire and rivers in general to all types of public. Initiatives offered in the hope of reaching out to as many people as possible.
The name : Loire Odyssee

Loire Odyssee is the label used to cover all the activities proposed by the Maison de Loire en Anjou
The Loire Odyssee visitor center
The premises offer visitors more than 200 m² of scenographic and exhibition spaces, rooms for teaching, an area for projections, a resource center and a shop. They also house a Tourist Information Center which open throughout the year.
The Loire Odyssee cruise boat
The organization makes use of a boat, owned by the commune of Loire-Authion, from April to October. Offer yourself a day or evening cruise as the ideal way of getting as close to the river as possible...
Education and Loire Odyssee
The educational team works with school children throughout the year, guiding projects and outing with the aim of introducing them to the environmental and cultural heritage of the region.
